Garden Girls Repellents, makers of such natural pesticides as Mosquito Free, Tick Free, Bed Bug Free and more, has changed its name to NAPROCO.
“We changed our name and nothing else,” says Michele Meyhoefer, co-owner of the Hawleyville, Conn.-based company, adding that the acronym stands for Natural Products Co. “We changed it to be more industry-friendly.”
Meyhoefer tells PMP that the company, which was founded in 2008, is not leaving the Garden Girls Repellents name altogether; rather, the new name “allows us to produce other products besides pesticides if we choose to go that route in the future.”
