Flies are attracted to odors.
Customers can reduce risk if they:
- Keep the house and perimeter sanitary.
- Keep trash cans sealed.
- Keep food covered as much as possible while cooking and eating outdoors.
If flies are persistent without obvious causes, consider the surroundings. For example, nearby farms or processing plants also can attract them.
In these cases, advise customers to keep the windows closed and use sprays on known landing areas
where flies rest.
