Success is all about formulation and application. Not all microencapsulations, or caps, are created equal, and neither are all active ingredients (a.i.). Nearly all caps have different sizes, which can affect callback rates. Those size differences, along with the makeup of the cap, can influence both insect uptake and a.i. residual. For instance, the residual of the product’s a.i. is greatly affected by how well the cap (and, as a result, the a.i.) will stick to and stay on the waxy surface of a leaf.
Don’t chase the mosquitoes around. Start near the house and methodically work your way outward. The act of applying product will temporarily repel the mosquitoes, so don’t repel them toward the house by starting immediately around the perimeter of the yard.
