LIPCA Inc. and Louisiana Pest Control Insurance appointed Laura Simpson, president of Baton Rouge, La.-based Dugas Pest Control, president.
The insurance company is owned by and geared to pest management professionals. It offers specialty commercial casualty insurance and related services to pest management and lawn care companies large and small.
For more than 35 years Simpson has been active in the pest management industry. She served as president of the National Pest Management Association as well as the Louisiana Pest Management Association.
In 1996, Simpson took over the company from her father, Doug MacPherson, who purchased it in 1973. Established in 1957, Dugas Pest Control is a QualityPro certified company that has served south Louisiana for more than 50 years.
