WASHINGTON—The National Pest Management Association (NPMA) is celebrating the dismissal of litigation filed by an activist group under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). What follows is a statement from the NPMA that was emailed to members April 23:

Yesterday, a federal judge dismissed litigation filed by an activist group under the Endangered Species Act (ESA) that threatened to undermine the continued use of more than 380 lawfully registered pesticides throughout the United States, including almost all rodenticides and termiticides. Click here to read the judge’s decision. The action represents an enormous victory for NPMA and the entire pesticide user and manufacturing communities.  Known as the “Mega-suit,” the case had the potential to adversely impact almost every PMP.
