The National Pest Management Association (NPMA) is hosting two one-day workshops focused on public health pest control, with an emphasis on the structural pest management industry’s role in controlling mosquitoes that transmit disease-causing pathogens. The workshops will be held Feb. 27 in Houston and March 1 in West Palm Beach, Fla.
Industry experts, public health professionals, and federal and state government officials will provide information at multiple sessions throughout the day. Sessions will cover agency updates, mosquito biology and behavior, how to communicate to the public, insurance for your pest control company, control procedures for Aedes aegypti mosquitoes and environmental safety considerations.
The NPMA has requested CEU recertification credits for applicators in the states of Texas and Florida. A list of approved credits and the instructions for obtaining them will be made available onsite at the workshop, according to the NPMA.
