Deciding where to set the trap is a major key to success. For example, most raccoons in an attic won’t enter a cage trap set inside the building. Rather, the best practice would be to secure the trap to the roof or secure the trap in an entry point, catching them in the escape of the interior of the home.

One-way door traps would be the best recommendation for this situation, especially for raccoons that are living in the attic or inside the home.
