NEW ORLEANS — Early last December, Pest Management Professional (PMP) attended ServSuite University 2014. Andy Deering, COO of software developer Service Pro, says the three-day event drew more than 220 attendees from across the country to the InterContinental New Orleans Hotel.

Burt Putterman, CEO of Oliver Exterminating, delivered the keynote speech at ServSuite University 2014. The presentation’s theme was “Plan to Evolve or Plan to Exit.” “You need to start thinking about how technology can work for you to make your job easier,” he said. “It can be a learning experience, or it can be a trap.” Putterman focused on how looking ahead to what future technology might be will help you be prepared when it arrives.

The centerpiece of the event’s first day was a panel discussion addressing “How mobility has changed the dynamics of the pest industry,” moderated by PMP’s own Mike Joyce. Panelists included (seated, left to right) Eddie Connor (Connor’s Pest Protection), Billy Tesh (PMi) and Kurt Trombetti (Enviro Safe).
