The best method for reducing mosquitoes is sanitation. Remove all reservoirs and limit standing water.

Mosquitoes emerge the most during early morning and early evening, so focus on spraying during their resting hours. Spray the underside of shrubs, plants, etc. Any ponds should have flowing water and the needed dunks for larvae control.

Having one’s yard sprayed will help reduce both larval and adult population levels. Males feed on nectar, so be careful not to harm other pollinators that might forage on the same flowering plants. Misting machines are good at preventing mosquitoes from entering the immediate periphery.
