One common mistake many pest management professionals (PMPs) make is not properly pricing bed bug services. Procedures tend to be similar between single- and multi-family housing. However, pricing for multi-family housing and hotel contracts should be higher based on unknowns in adjacent units. As a result, it is recommended PMPs treat adjacent units and incorporate those units into the service contract.

It’s also a good idea to write separate agreements for bed bug work that are mutually exclusive from standard general pest contracts. Proper expectations and a clear understanding help PMPs obtain the service and increase customer retention.
